This picture shows the complex swing wing mechanism of the F14. It also had tailerons and spoilers for roll control (with wings forward), tailerons only for wings swept. Flaps and leading edge slats for landing and takeoff. The undercarriage is hydraulic operated and the doors, cockpit, speed brake and arrester hook are air operated. The twin Jet Munts Merlin 140 engines are fed by a total of six fuel tanks.
The programming was challenging!!

1/7th Scale F14 Tomcat. This model was originally bought by my brother, who passed away in 2020. I have now completed it and it is ready to go. As it weighs 38kg wet it requires the LMA paperwork, so subject to this I hope to get her flying this year 2021.

Founded in 1973 we are a well respected club located in north Dorset. We are a fixed wing model flying club of 100+ members many of whom have had a lifetime of experience in model building and flying. We hold many RC events for fun and competition throughout the year. We regularly support local communities and charitable events with static and flying displays. We are open for new members and especially the younger generation who will carry on the hobby of model flying, acquiring skills that our older members have passed on and continuing to carry on the aims of the club into the future.
